As privacy regulations evolve, the industry is bringing data collection and data sharing practices to the forefront for the protection of consumers and organizations.

“CCPA is just one law marketers should be aware of and discussing internally,” Noga explained. Companies should continue to be involved with their industry groups and peers in various ways to ensure they are operating in a privacy-compliant way.

Ampersand is an active participant in groups such as the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). “We’re all working together to try to figure out in which cases we are a service provider, a third party, and when we fall under the sale definition,” Noga continued.
